Billie Jean King Cup predictions
Tennishead writer Max Kilham has predicted which team will win the Billie Jean King Cup and how Great Britain will perform.
“I simply cannot look past the American women. From top to bottom, the squad oozes talent. Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro will bring a wealth of experience to their singles matches, and they have the best women’s doubles player on the planet to back them up (Taylor Townsend).
“As for the GB team, I fear for their chances. Without the star power of Emma Raducanu, I think they will struggle. The form of Katie Boulter is also a concern. GB’s leading woman won just one of six singles matches during the North American hard-court swing. The team have proven their worth in the past, but I believe they will exit the tournament at the quarter-final stage.”
