The Tennishead story began over 10 years ago when our founder, Mike, realised there was nothing out there of real quality that catered for truly passionate tennis fans and players. You know who you are…

You don’t just tune in for Wimbledon each year…

You are there week in week out following your favourite player through thick and thin as they travel the world smacking the hell out of fluffy yellow balls…

You even visit the odd tournament, normally when the global tennis circus lands in your country and you can grab some tickets…

You play at your local club at least once a week (even though you are desperate to play more)…

You start every new year by booking a series of lessons with the club coach before realising that learning that topspin single handed backhand you’ve always dreamed of will just have to wait for another year and reverting back to your old ways, but still loving every minute on court.

Well you are in good company with Tennishead because we are just like you.

“Our mission is to help tennis fans and players to enjoy this great game just that little bit more” says Tim the owner of Tennishead

🎾 What is Tennishead?

We started out by launching Tennishead magazine in traditional print format which we still love publishing to this day. Then that pesky internet thing arrived and we realised that you lot wanted to enjoy our content on multiple devices in whatever format suited your taste.

Which is why we now offer you our superb content (for free) through Tennishead.net as well as running our increasingly popular Tennishead Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube social media channels. We also publish a weekly email newsletter in case you are too busy to find the news for yourself.

Then in 2020, after talking to as many keen amateur tennis players as possbile, we started the Tennishead CLUB which we are proud to say is the world’s first and only virtual tennis club. Most of the club members find it hard to believe what a great offering we’ve created which warms our hearts to get such positive feedback and we look forward to growing the club, improving the offering and adding to the thousands of happy members who’ve already joined.

🎾 Who’s behind Tennishead?

The original founder of Tennishead, Mike, is still involved to this day. He also has another passion which is tennis photography so nowadays you are more likely to find him court-side at an ATP tournament somewhere warm photographing Rafa. Mike was joined a few years ago by Tim who’s a publishing veteran and has spent the last few years developing the digital side of the Tennishead offering. Tim is also the Chairman of his local tennis club and plays as much tennis as his wife will let him!

The hard work that goes into producing such a large volume of quality tennis content falls to our superb team of writers including the Editor of Tennishead magazine, Paul Newman, our full time Tennishead.net writers, Michael and Joseph, plus Andrew, the Editor of our newsletter, The Bagel.
