WTA rankings update brings big shake-up with 15 career-highs in top 100

15 players are enjoying a new career-high ranking inside the WTA top 100 to begin November as the season approaches its end.

Eight of those 15 have occurred within the top 30 of the women’s rankings. Barbora Krejcikova, Maria Sakkari, Ons Jabeur and Anett Kontaveit are all at a new career-high.

Krejcikova sits third, Sakkari sixth, Jabeur seventh and Kontaveit eighth, her first foray into the top 10.

Beyond the top 10, Indian Wells champion Paula Badosa moves 11th, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is 12th, Jessica Pegula is 20th and US Open champion Emma Raducanu is 21st.

Expanding to include the full top 50, Liedmila Samsonova is newly 40th, while teenager Clara Tauson is 46th.

American Ann Li is 47th and Czech Tereza Martincova is 48th. Another teenager, 19-year-old Marta Kostyuk, breaks the top 50 for the first time with a career-high of 50th. Finally, Jasmine Paolini sits 51st while Maryan Zanevska is 82nd.

Currently there are no WTA tour level tournaments taking place. Instead, the Billie Jean King Cup Finals are underway in Prague, Czechia.

12 teams will be competing for the title there after last taking place in 2019. Defending champions France are joined in Group A by Russia and Canada.

Group B sees Belgium take on Belarus and Australia. Group C is comprised of USA, Spain and Slovakia, while Group D houses hosts Czechia along with Germany and Switzerland.
