America have quite possibly the strongest contingent of players of any nation on the WTA Tour.
The country boasts a host of elite names, including four players in the WTA top 10: Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys.

Although the nation fell short against Italy in the Billie Jean King Cup final, their future is bright.
Hailey Baptiste, Caty McNally and McCartney Kessler are all young stars who could achieve big things on the WTA Tour in the future.
There is another bright spark, aged just 17, who may be the next big star on the WTA Tour.
Iva Jovic has the opportunity to qualify for the 2026 Australian Open as a seeded player
Iva Jovic, 17, is the latest American star to make a name for herself on the WTA Tour.
Jovic, former junior world number two and Grand Slam junior doubles champion, won her first WTA Tour title in September at the Guadalajara Open.

The American has rocketed up the rankings in the past year and looks set to continue her rapid ascent in 2026.
Despite not playing a match since the Wuhan Open, Jovic’s ranking has increased to a career-high of 33 following the conclusion of the Ningbo Open and Japan Open.
Only the top 32 ranked players qualify for a Grand Slam as a seed. Therefore, if Jovic can finish her 2025 season on a strong note, she has every chance of qualifying for a Grand Slam as a seeded player for the first time in her career when the 2026 Australian Open rolls around.
Iva Jovic is not on the entry list for any of the remaining 2025 WTA Tour competitions

Somewhat remarkably, the youngster is not playing at the Japan Open or Guangzhou Open this week.
Moreover, she is not on the entry list for the Chennai Open, Hong Kong Open or Jiangxi Open, all of which are taking place next week.
Jovic has also not entered any of the remaining WTA 125 tournaments so far, including the Brazil Open, Colombia Open, Austin Open or Tucuman Open.
However, there are further Challenger events that have not published their entry lists as of yet. These tournaments will continue to take place through to December, so Jovic may decide to enter one of these to try and boost her ranking ahead of the 2026 Australian Open.
