Wimbledon is the oldest and most prestigious of all four Grand Slams, with a history dating back to 1877. It is the continuation of the US National Championship, one of the oldest tennis championships in the world, which started in 1881. The US Open offers the highest prize money and it is famous for its festive atmosphere, with live music, celebrities, and the shops and bars which are available for spectators.
