Tennis on TV This Week: How to watch the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage, WTA Guadalajara and more!

The Grand Slam season may be over for another year, but there is still plenty of action to suck your teeth into with both the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage and two main WTA Tour events taking place this week.

And we, at Tennishead, have all the information on how you can watch the action featuring the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Jack Draper, Jelena Ostapenko and Danielle Collins:

How to watch the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage?

The Davis Cup Group Stage is the first part of the finals, with 16 teams being split into four even groups in four different locations.

Group A is in Bologna and features defending champions Italy, however they will be without World No.1 and US Open champion Jannik Sinner, who has elected to withdraw from the event after his victory in New York.

Instead the 2023 winners will be led by 22-year-old Flavio Cobolli, alongside Matteo Arnaldi, Matteo Berrettini, as well as doubles specialists Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli.

Someone who had a less successful US Open is Carlos Alcaraz, who suffered a shock second round defeat in New York.

The four-time major winner will look to put this loss quickly behind him, as he looks to lead his nation to qualification at the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage in Valencia.

Group C features record 32-time champions USA, who shockingly did not qualify for the Davis Cup knockout stages last year.

Captain Bob Bryan does not have a full strength team in Zhuhai though, with Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton and Sebastian Korda all missing.

Great Britain are the hosts of Group D in Manchester, in the first Davis Cup competition for the Brits since Andy Murray’s retirement.

Jack Draper is the top ranked player in the British lineup, as he faces a tough turnaround from reaching the US Open semi-finals.

You can watch all of the Davis Cup Group Stage on Tennis Channel International. Another way to watch Great Britain’s three group stage ties is on the BBC Red Button or BBC iPlayer.

How to watch WTA Guadalajara?

The biggest WTA event of the week is in Guadalajara, which has actually been downgraded from a 1000 to a 500 level tournament in 2024.

World No.12 Jelena Ostapenko is the top seed, as she looks to return to form after losing three of her last four matches.

However, the Latvian will face tough competition from fellow top seeds Danielle Collins, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Garcia.

Although no former champions are returning to this event, 2023 runner-up Caroline Dolehide will be looking to go one better than last year, while Sloane Stephens and Veronika Kudermetova have won titles at a different event in the Mexican city.

You can watch the Guadalajara Open on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as other parts of Europe, or on Tennis Channel in the United States of America.

How to watch WTA Monastir?

The third edition of the WTA 250 tournament in Monastir is also taking place this week, as top seed Elise Mertens looks to win a third consecutive title at the event.

If Mertens is to complete the treble, she will need to overcome the challenges of French women Clara Burel, Diane Parry and Argentinian fourth seed Nadia Podoroska.

Tunisian star Ons Jabeur will not be playing in Monastir again due to an ongoing back injury, with local hopes resting on wildcard Chiraz Bechri, who is currently ranked outside the top 1200.

You can watch the Jasmin Open on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as other parts of Europe, or on Tennis Channel in the United States of America.
