Roger Federer ‘super excited’ as he releases signature shoe to the masses
The signature shoe of Roger Federer is now available for purchase by general consumers after more than a year of eyes on the product and a limited release in 2021.
Ahead of his return to the tour in March 2021 the 20-time Slam champion was spotted training in an as yet unseen pair of tennis shoes, ditching his preferred choice of Nike shoes up until that point.
Come his competitive return at the 2021 Qatar Open, Federer revealed the On Roger Pro, a one-of-a-kind custom shoe developed with Swiss running brand On, their first foray into performance tennis footwear.
After much anticipation from fans of the Swiss great, the shoe was released in limited quantities and sizes for a lucky few to try.
Now, even more public consumers can try out the On Roger Pro.
Federer tweeted from his personal account: “Super excited to hit the market in bigger numbers with the Roger Pro.
“We have spent a long time perfecting it.”

Federer wore the shoes in all 13 pro matches he played in 2021, including in the five matches he played during his run to the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
Now 40 and away from competition since Wimbledon in July, fans will be hoping to see the former world number one rocking his signature shoe in high-level competition again in the not too distant future.
