‘Please don’t ask me again’ Stefanos Tsitsipas makes his feelings clear on question of favourite event
Stefanos Tsitsipas has revealed to fans which tournament he loves most in the lead up to his next appearance at Indian Wells.
Following a fourth consecutive win for Team Europe at the Laver Cup, The Greek star is riding high on the emotions of victory.
“It’s been more than a pleasure to fight for this trophy,” Tsitsipas said at a press conference following the competition.
“This experience is so extraordinary, with two incredible captains and payers that are willing to give everything for this event.”
Team Europe routed Team World for the loss of just one match this year. The overall result was a score of 14-1 in favour of the champions.
“What’s your favourite tournament?” Tsitsipas began in a recent tweet. “Laver Cup. Period. Please don’t ask me again.”

Tsitsipas has competed in the exhibition event on two occasions, in 2019 and 2021. The world number three out of five ties across his two appearances, including two wins out of two at this year’s event.
The Roland Garros finalist will next hit the court at the Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells, California. There, he will be seeded third behind Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.
That is, unless Djokovic decides to withdraw from the event, bumping Tsitsipas up to second seed.
Tsitsipas secured his first Masters 1000 title this year in Monte Carlo. It was his third Masters final overall, having previously reached the 2018 Toronto and 2019 Madrid finals.
Finally, with 62 tour wins this year, the Greek currently sits second on the ATP tour for wins recorded. Only Andrey Rublev has more, with 66.
