‘Novak Djokovic is a sneaky a**hole’ – Australian media off-air rant leaked

A video of two Australian news anchors slamming Novak Djokovic in an expletive-laden rant has surfaced on social media.

The reporters were speaking off-air for Channel 7, though cameras were still rolling on the duo.

They expressed anger and disappointment in not so soft words as they accused the world number one of lying to get his way.

“Whatever way you look at it, Novak Djokovic is a lying, sneaky a**hole,” one reporter says.

“He is an a**hole,” responds the other.

“It’s unfortunate that everybody else [messed] up around him. But, to go out when you know you’re Covid positive,” the first continues.

‘Well, I don’t even think he was Covid positive,” she adds, before her co-anchor says “He fell over his own f***ing lies.”

The pair of anchors refer to the fact that Novak Djokovic made a public appearance without a mask and with children on 17th December.

As part of his medical exemption, he declared that he tested positive for Covid on 16th December via a PCR test, suggesting he made the appearance while knowingly infected.

He further participated in a photo shoot with L’Equipe on 18th December, L’Equipe confirmed.

The anchors do admit perhaps Djokovic should not have been detained in the manner he was.

There is still the chance that the nine-time Australian open champion could have his visa cancelled again by Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke in the coming days.
