Nick Kyrgios to form another unconventional doubles duo
Nick Kyrgios and Venus Williams drew much attention when paired up at Wimbledon, and the Aussie is continuing the somewhat novel trend.
The ATP showman has decided that he would like to join forces with another American star for his home Slam come the new year.
Kyrgios reached out to world No. 25 Coco Gauff on Twitter with an invitation to team up for the 2022 Australian Open mixed doubles tournament.
“Coco Gauff, mixed at Aussie Open?” he tweeted out, tagging the teenage star.
“Let’s make it happen,” Gauff responded soon after.

Gauff recently expressed that she would like to befriend Kyrgios as part of a an ATP Tour interview, which he noticed on socials.
Kyrgios has previously teamed up with big name WTA players Madison Keys, Eugenie Bouchard and, most notably, Venus Williams at Slams gone by.
No doubt the team of Kyrgios and Gauff will excite fans at the first Slam of the 2022 season down in Melbourne.
