Nick Kyrgios is preparing for a return to tennis with two high-profile exhibition tournaments set before the end of 2025.
Kyrgios will play in the World Tennis League as a warm-up for his controversial Battle of the Sexes match in Dubai.
The Australian will play Aryna Sabalenka in an updated version of the match made famous by Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs.
Ahead of his return to tennis, Kyrgios has reflected on his limited season and picked the most ‘special’ match of his campaign.

Nick Kyrgios reveals his favourite match of 2025
Unsurprisingly, Kyrgios has opted for his sole victory of the year as the last match that means the most to him.
Speaking to the UTS Tour, the Australian said: “The last match that made me feel something strong was probably my match earlier this year against Mackenzie McDonald in Miami.
“Obviously I went through a lot of years being injured and coming back, and winning a match at Masters level was very special for me.”
Kyrgios defeated the American in three sets in the first round of the Masters tournament, but fell in the next round to Karen Khachanov.
The Australian’s victory against McDonald was his only win of 2025. He suffered further defeat to Jacob Fearnley at the Australian Open, as well as Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Botic van de Zandschulp.
Why Nick Kyrgios is feeling the pressure ahead of Aryna Sabalenka match
Kyrgios has shared confidence ahead of his controversial match with Sabalenka, but he’s also admitted to feeling the pressure.
Speaking to AAP, he revealed: “I was in Hong Kong recently and a lot of the male players were like, ‘Look, you’re representing all of us.’ So here I am in the firing line again.
“I’m not a stranger to taking the heat from the media, but I’m excited whatever the result may be. I’m going to go out there and show the world that as good as she is, she’s got some weaknesses.”
Kyrgios and Sabalenka will go head-to-head on December 28 as the world number 652 plays the world number one.
