The hectic 2025 tennis schedule might have come to an end, but several players are filling the gap by playing exhibition events.
Carlos Alcaraz is playing an exhibition event in the United States before he kick-starts his season at the Australian Open.
Venus Williams will also return to tennis before 2026 begins, with a number of other high-profile players filling their off-season with matches.
Nick Kyrgios, Gael Monfils, and Daniil Medvedev will head to India for an exhibition event before the new season starts.

The World Tennis League announce their line-up for 2025
Some of the biggest names in the sport will descend upon India for the 2025 World Tennis League between December 17 and 20.
Four teams of players will battle it out at the four-day tournament, with international stars Medvedev, Denis Shapovalov, Kyrgios, and Monfils joining forces with some of India’s finest tennis stars.
Kyrgios’s appearance at the event will provide the perfect warm-up for his controversial ‘Battle of the Sexes’ match with Aryna Sabalenka.

What do players hope to gain from playing in exhibition matches? Do you think it’s only for financial gain?
The WTA Tour will also be represented with appearances by Magda Linette, Paula Badosa, Elina Svitolina, and Marta Kostyuk.
Last year saw the Game Changers Falcons win the tournament, with the likes of Elena Rybakina, Andrey Rublev, Shapovalov, and Caroline Garcia competing.
Nick Kyrgios’ history at exhibition events
Kyrgios has not been particularly active on the ATP Tour in 2025, but he’s always made time for exhibitions throughout his career.
The star famously sold out the Rod Laver Arena in 58 minutes for his matches against Novak Djokovic in 2023.
The star is also no stranger to playing in the World Tennis League, having played the tournament when it took place in the United Arab Emirates.
The Australian is yet to win the exhibition event in either of his appearances in 2022 or 2024, having battled it out with Felix Auger-Aliassime and Grigor Dimitrov.
