‘Do you have rocks in your head?!’ – Nick Kyrgios bites back at Borna Coric in fresh Adria Tour row
Nick Kyrgios has bitten back at Borna Coric, telling him he is ‘just standing up for his mates’ over the Croatian’s Adria Tour comments.
Coric was one of the players who tested positive for coronavirus on the Adria Tour along with world number one Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic was the principal organiser of the exhibition event, and came in for heavy criticism, not least from Kyrgios, for a lack of social distancing safeguards.
On Wednesday, Coric responded to Kyrgios’ criticisms, saying he ‘simply doesn’t care’ what the Australian thinks.
Typically, though, Nick Kyrgios had a retort ready.
You should care. Do you have rocks in your head? Again, you can stand up for your mates, I’m just trying to hold them accountable. When I said what I said, I didn’t intend to bother. They are tennis players, they aren’t special. Just as I thought Coric intellectual level = 0 (🍩) https://t.co/KNBa5mNG77

“You should care,” Kyrgios tweeted while referencing Coric’s story. “Do you have rocks in your head?
“Again, you can stand up for your mates, I’m just trying to hold them accountable.
“When I said what I said, I didn’t intend to bother. They are tennis players, they aren’t special.”
“Just as I thought, Coric intellectual level = 0,” he added, ending his tweet with an emoji of a doughnut.
