‘All three of them are legends,’ Borna Coric on Federer, Nadal and Djokovic
Croatian star Borna Coric has given his thoughts on the ‘Big Three’ of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, including what it is like to face them on the court.
Borna Coric has praised the ‘Big Three’ of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic on their mythic status in the world of tennis and spoken on his experience of facing them on-court.
‘Obviously, all three of them are legends of tennis,’ Coric said in an interview with Sportskeeda.
‘It was really amazing to play against them. I learned a lot from those matches.’
Altogether, Borna Coric has faced the ‘Big Three’ 14 times so far in his career, hold a 4-10 record overall.
Coric has registered two wins over Federer, including in the final of Halle 2018 to claim his first grass and first ATP 500 title. The Croats best record is against Nadal, with honours even at 2-2.
The same cannot be said of his record against Djokovic, with the ledger at 0-4 and Coric not even securing a set across those four encounters.
‘Each one of them is very unique,’ Coric added in reference to the three.
Borna Coric last played at the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam, losing to Marton Fucsovics in the semi-finals. He recently posted on Instagram saying he would be out for “a few weeks”, missing the Monte Carlo Masters, before hopefully being fit to play the Belgrade Open in Serbia the following week.
