‘A Fedal Comeback!’ – Roger Federer set for London return alongside Rafael Nadal
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are slated to compete together for Team Europe at the 2022 Laver Cup in London this September.
The fifth edition of the Europe versus The World competition makes its way across the Atlantic from Boston in 2021 to the British capital from 23-25th September this year, the same city where Federer has claimed eight Wimbledon titles.
The Laver Cup have confirmed that fans can expect Federer and Nadal to take the court at the O2 Arena, a venue familiar to both as the host of the ATP Finals from 2009 until 2020.
“A Fedal Comeback,” Laver Cup announced on social media.
“Tennis superstars Roger Federer and Rafael NadalΒ will represent Team Europe this September at Laver Cup London 2022.”
Federer even retweeted the announcement from his own account.

The duo both represented Team Europe in the inaugural edition in Prague, Czechia in 2017.
They even combined in doubles, taking on and defeating Sam Querrey and Jack Sock.
Federer played again in 2018 without Nadal, before the Spaniard returned in 2019 alongside the Swiss, but the pair did not play doubles together that time around.
Neither man has played the event since due to untimely injuries, but Federer made sure to attend the 2021 event as a Team Europe fan and co-founder, his management company TEAM8 being one of the partners that created the event.
Europe have won all four previous events, including a 14-1 drubbing of Team World in 2021 as Team Europe lost a lone doubles rubber on day one.
