The Queen’s champion has not beaten world No.1 Djokovic in their last eight meetings; the last time was in the 2013 final at the All England Club.

However, Djokovic also faces a potentially tricky path to the final. He meets world No.33 Philipp Kohlschreiber in the first round, the highest ranked unseeded player in the draw.

The Serb could face former champion Lleyton Hewitt in the second round, while Queen’s finalist Kevin Anderson is a likely fourth-round opponent.

Murray will meet Mikhail Kukushkin in his opening match and either Robin Haase or Alejandro Falla in the second round.

No.10 seed Rafael Nadal, a two-time champion at Wimbledon, will hope to avoid an early exit at the hands of Thomaz Bellucci in his opening match, while seven-time champion Federer will meet Damir Dzumhur and could face Feliciano Lopez and Tomas Berdych in the fourth round and quarter-finals respectively.

In the women’s draw British No.2 Johanna Konta will face 2004 champion and No.4 seed Maria Sharapova in the first round, while British No.1 Heather Watson plays France’s  No.32 seed Caroline Garcia.

The winner of that match could meet world No.1 Serena Williams in the third round. The French Open champion meets Russian world No.113 Margarita Gasparyan in her first round match. Williams is in the hunt for her second "Serena Slam" – holding all of the major titles at the same time.

Last year’s champion Petra Kvitova opens her title defence against Kiki Bertens, while British wildcard Laura Robson will face Evginya Rodina in the first round.
