Wilson releases first women’s-only tennis shoe: The Intrigue Tour

Designed by Wilson with Marta Kostyuk, the first women’s-specific tennis shoe delivers speed, support, and a revolutionary fit.

Wilson Sporting Goods is making history with the launch of the Intrigue Tour, its first-ever high-performance tennis shoe designed exclusively for female athletes. Created with direct input from WTA player Marta Kostyuk, the Intrigue is built for speed, support, and style—offering a dynamic fit tailored to the biomechanics of women’s feet.

“At Wilson, we are committed to empowering female athletes at every level,” said Gordon Devin, President of Wilson Sportswear. “The Intrigue redefines what it means to play fast, and it will undoubtedly give women the bold advantage they need to dominate on court.”

Kostyuk, who worked closely with Wilson’s footwear team throughout the design process, emphasized the shoe’s impact on her game. “Wilson and I wanted to create something that empowers women to move quicker and be more agile, while still looking sharp. The Intrigue does exactly that,” she said. “This shoe has made my game faster and more relentless.”

Wilson’s research-driven approach led to a revolutionary fit, built from the inside out. The shoe features three key innovations:

  • UltraShield: A lightweight, breathable mesh that offers durability and a seamless fit.
  • FootFrame: A dynamic lacing system that allows for personalized support.
  • SwiftStep: A responsive sockliner that brings cushioning closer to the foot for a more connected feel on court.

Available in the dubarry colorway, the Intrigue Tour ($158) will launch online and in stores on February 11, with Pro ($138) and Lite ($98) models catering to different playing styles. More colors are set to drop throughout the year.

Inside the Baseline…

Wilson’s launch of the Intrigue Tour is a statement. Women’s gear has long been an afterthought in performance footwear, often repackaged versions of men’s designs with little regard for the unique needs of female athletes. This release feels like a step in the right direction, built with purpose rather than just aesthetics. A shoe designed for speed, agility, and comfort, made specifically for the women who push the game forward, is long overdue. Wilson is pushing the game forward.
