Mirra Andreeva advanced to the Roland Garros semi-finals on Tuesday after beating Sorana Cirstea in straight sets.
Andreeva proved too strong for the Romanian, winning 6-0, 6-3 on Court Philippe Chatrier.
The 18-year-old, who reached the semi-finals in 2024, will play Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the last-four contest; which will be held on Thursday.
Kostyuk, the 15th seed in Paris, defeated compatriot Elina Svitolina 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 to book her place in the semi-finals.
Who is now your favourite to win the women’s Roland Garros title?
With Coco Gauff out, the draw feels WIDE open…
Kostyuk has been in fine form over the past two months on the WTA Tour, winning two titles across the clay-court swing.
In fact, given Kostyuk’s form and her record against Mirra Andreeva, fans of the Russian will likely feel concerned heading into Thursday’s contest.
Marta Kostyuk has already beaten Mirra Andreeva twice this year
Kostyuk will most certainly feel confident heading into her clash against Andreeva on Thursday.

Not only is the Ukrainian on a 17-match winning run, but she has also beaten Andreeva in their two previous matches on the circuit.
Both of these matches occurred this year.
Kostyuk first defeated Andreeva 7-6, 6-3 in the Brisbane Open quarterfinals; before going on to win the title.
Three months later, Kostyuk triumphed against Andreeva in the Madrid Open final, beating the Russian ninth seed 6-3, 7-5 in the Caja Magica.
“It feels unbelievable to stand here right now,” Kostyuk said after winning the title in Madrid, as per BBC Sport.

“It took me many years to reach this point and the one word I think about right now is consistency – showing up every day no matter how hard it is, no matter how much you love or hate what you do.
“I’ve been doing that really well [over] the past years I think, so I’m very proud of myself and my team.”
Kostyuk has won two clay-court titles – in Rouen and Madrid – over the past two months, and is now a major contender for the Roland Garros title.
If these factors do not concern Mirra Andreeva’s fans, perhaps nothing will.
Marta Kostyuk’s run in Paris
Kostyuk’s path to the Roland Garros semi-finals has been far from simple.
After beating Spaniard Oksana Selekhmeteva in straight sets, Kostyuk survived a scare against American Katie Volynets – who recently added Kim Clijsters to her coaching staff.
Kostyuk lost the first set 6-7 to the American before storming back to claim victory on Court 14.
A straight sets win over Viktoria Golubic followed, before Kostyuk stunned four-time champion Iga Swiatek in the fourth round.
How far can Marta Kostyuk go at Roland Garros? Is Iga Swiatek’s Roland Garros reign officially over?
With victory over Svitolina on Tuesday, Kostyuk has now beaten two top-10 seeds in Paris.
And who would bet against her beating another when she plays Mirra Andreeva later this week?
