He's a two-time champion! Roger Federer holds the men's singles record with eight…
Carlos Alcaraz, a seven-time major champion, was unable to prevent Sinner from winning back-to-back titles in south-west London.
This is because the Spaniard is still nursing a troublesome wrist injury.
Alcaraz sent Sinner a heartfelt message after the final, congratulating the Italian on his success.
Sinner’s success may also give the Spaniard extra motivation moving forward.
Carlos Alcaraz may be spurred on by Jannik Sinner’s Wimbledon triumph
Carlos Alcaraz is far from the jealous type. Rather, he is an individual who relishes competition while maintaining a respect for his opponents.
This sentiment could not be more true when it comes to the rivalry of Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
The pair clearly get along well and have a massive amount of respect for one another.

With that being said, Sinner’s most recent triumph at Wimbledon may very well have lit a fire under Carlos Alcaraz.
The Spaniard has just witnessed his greatest rival win another major title – moving one step closer to the Spaniard’s total of seven Grand Slams.
Moreover, Alcaraz is surely chomping at the bit to get back into the competitive arena and extend his Grand Slam lead over Sinner.
Of course, Alcaraz does not need extra motivation, per se; he is clearly a very self-motivated individual.
However, Sinner’s successes in his absence may spur the Spaniard on to achieve a higher level of greatness on the ATP Tour.
