Jack Draper’s return to tennis helped Great Britain defeat Norway to advance to the next knockout stage.
The British number one looked impressive against in a straight sets victory against Viktor Durasovic in the opening rubber.
Draper has already withdrawn from his next event, but he has admitted it is only precautionary after his first match in six months.
His Great Britain teammate, Cameron Norrie, has revealed what he thought of Draper’s level at the Davis Cup and what happened when he played a practice set with the star ahead of his return.

Draper and Norrie make up an impressive Davis Cup duo and Great Britain could be considered a dark horse for the competition if they both remain fit.
Norrie is delighted to have Draper back in the fold and he revealed details of a practice match with the star in Norway.
Speaking to Tennis Weekly Podcast, Norrie said: “Yeah, practice with Jack yesterday. He got me in the set 6-4.”

Draper’s level impressed Norrie and he was confident he could get the job done for Great Britain against Norway.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, Jack’s ready. He’s looking good.’ And I played really well yesterday as well, so nice to see him back and he’s as focused as ever, so decent start for us.”
Draper’s next tournament is set to be at the Dubai Tennis Championships following his withdrawal from the Rotterdam Open.

Speaking about their potential opponents, team captain Leon Smith said: “We have to wait and see what happens between Australia and Ecuador.
“One would be at home, which is Ecuador, and the other would be the other side of the world after the US Open which is a challenge.
“Wherever it is, we’ve loved this week here and look forward to playing the next round, whoever that might be.”
Great Britain have not had a home tie since a 2024 loss to Canada, which took place at Manchester’s AO Arena.
