Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner continued their almost unprecedented ATP dominance while competing in Japan and China this week.
Alcaraz overcame some consternation in the Japan Open final before defeating Taylor Fritz to win the tournament at the first time of asking, while Sinner captured a second China Open title in Beijing.
The pair have dominated the Tour for the past two years, having captured all eight Grand Slam titles between them.
It seems unlikely that any of their peers will be able to prevent further dominance, not even Novak Djokovic.
Simply put, the superiority Alcaraz and Sinner have demonstrated on the ATP Tour has not been witnessed since the dominance of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
