Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz has caused a huge US Open shock by beating third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in a five-set thriller.
The 18-year-old has long been tipped for stardom, but this was the moment he arrived on the big stage as he won a dramatic deciding-set tiebreak.
With the crowd firmly backing him, Alcaraz was able to dig deep and secure a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6, 0-6, 7-6 win.

“I think without the crowd I have no possibility to win this match,” Alcaraz said.
“I was down at start of fourth set, so thanks to the crowd for picking me up.
“The victory means a lot to me. The best match of my career, the best win.
“To beat Stefanos Tsitsipas is a dream come true for me.”
