Chela, who has been as high as 15th in the world, reached the quarter-finals at Roland Garros in 2004 and will present Murray with an immediate test of his clay-court credentials.

Murray has shown signs of improvement on the dirt in 2009, reaching the semi-finals in Monte Carlo and the last eight in Madrid.
