Tomas Martin Etcheverry hits seven aces in a row at the Davis Cup

Etcheverry needed two tie-breaks to defeat Struff, but his serving was sensational during his opening round win.

The Argentine hit seven aces in a row against Struff, which is the third best run of aces in the history of the sport.

The only players who can beat that are Sam Querrey and Radek Stepanek, who hit 10 and eight respectively.

Which country will win the 2025 Davis Cup Finals?

Querrey holds the record after hitting 10 aces in a row against James Blake at the 2007 Indianapolis Championships.

That helped the big serving American defeat his counterpart in three sets, all of which were decided by tie-breaks.

Stepanek, meanwhile, managed to hit eight aces in a row against Christophe Rochus at the Rotterdam Open in 2006.

Etcheverry’s serve has been a key component of his game and he’s produced some impressive statistics in 2025.

The Argentine has hit 375 aces across the year, and he’s won an extremely impressive 80% of his service games.

Etcheverry has managed to hit 63% of his first serves this season, which has helped him win 72% of points on his first serve.

It should be no surprise that Etcheverry has been able to produce an eye-watering seven aces in a row against Struff, as he’s been excelling on serve all year.
