Sinner is set for another ATP Finals appearance in 2025 after appearing at the year-end tournament in four out of the last five years.

The new World No. 1 heads into the tournament having won his past two tournaments at the Vienna Open and the Paris Masters.

Sinner’s incredible end-of-season form makes him one of the favourites for the tournament in his home country of Italy.

The Italian has an excellent record at the ATP tournament, dating back to his very first appearance in 2021.

Jannik Sinner hit three records when he first played the ATP Finals

Sinner was called upon as an alternate after his compatriot Matteo Berrettini injured himself in a match against eventual winner Alexander Zverev.

The Italian was ranked at World No. 10 at the time, and he came in to face Daniil Medvedev and Hubert Hurkacz.

Sinner showcased his skills tremendously by taking a set off Medvedev and beating Hurkacz in straight sets.

His win against the Pole saw him become the youngest player to win a Tour Finals match since Lleyton Hewitt in 2000.

Sinner also became the youngest to compete since Juan Martín del Potro in 2008 and the first alternate to win a match since Janko Tipsarević in 2011.

The Italian was just 20 years old at the time, and he introduced himself to the ATP elite by brushing shoulders with some of the biggest stars in the game.

The only other player to defeat Jannik Sinner at the ATP Finals

Sinner’s win at the tournament in 2024 saw him win five consecutive matches without defeat to lift the trophy.

In 2023, Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic, Hurkacz, and Holger Rune in the group stage to qualify for the knockouts.
