Valentin Vacherot made history on Sunday, becoming just the third qualifier in ATP Tour history to win a Masters 1000 title.

The Monegasque star was ranked 204 in the world heading into the tournament, making him the lowest-ranked player ever to win a Masters 1000 tournament.

Vacherot defeated the likes of Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune on his way to the title, rallying from a set down on six occasions.

He joins seven other ATP players who have also won their first Tour-level title in 2025.

Jakub Mensik

Jakub Mensik produced arguably the tournament performance of the season to win his first ATP Tour title at the Miami Open in March.

The Czech star was aged just 19 and an unseeded player. However, these factors did not prevent him from defeating Jack Draper and Taylor Fritz on his way to the final.
