Tennishead mag: May issue OUT NOW!

Okay, okay, we admit it, we’ve taken our time getting there (I’ll explain why shortly), but it’s here people!! Vol 2, Issue 1 of tennishead magazine is in shops nationwide NOW. It may have felt like waiting for Novak Djokovic to lose a match, but, unlike the supreme Serb, we’ve ended the run and the latest issue of the ever-informative, jam-packed and gloriously shiny tennishead magazine is here at long last.
So where have we been, I hear you cry? Well, we’ve been mixing it with the world’s best under the sizzling Melbourne sun at the Australian Open, running round in excitable rings in Rotterdam at the first ATP 500 tournament of the year, sheltering from sandstorms in Doha and taking in a bit of Davis Cup action in the sleepy Swedish town of Boras.
We’re back in mag-mode now though and thanks to our tour escapades, we bring you the most entertaining insight into what’s happening in the wonderful world of international tennis yet. Future issues will come through thick and fast – the pre Roland Garros issue hits shops on May 5 and the pre-Wimbledon magazine will be out on June 9th – as the summer tennis season swings in to full flow.
But lets get back to this one. In Volume 2, Issue 1 we profile the incomparable Kim Clijsters, feature an exclusive interview with the tour’s rising star Andrea Petkovic and Chris Bowers takes a look at how the All England Club is set for a revamp as tennis plays its part in the 2012 Olympics.
On top of that, we’ve had a word with talented Dutchman Robin Haase and talked to the ever-amiable Ivan Ljubicic about his ‘extremely powerful’ Head racket. That’s not all folks, we also sat down with Guy Forget – courtside, incidentally, while he kept a watchful eye on fellow Frenchman Michael Llodra – to discuss his greatest triumph in the 1991 Davis Cup final.
And there’s much, much more to keep the juices flowing – we take a look at the number crunching behind tennis stats, road test 11 of the latest advanced tennis rackets on the market in our gear pages, and help you strike it like the pros in our academy section.
In short, it’s a cracker, so quit reading about it, and start reading, well, it. Hop on over to your nearest WHSmiths, WHSmiths Travel and get a copy of the latest and greatest edition in your mitts now, or subscribe here to receive six issues for just £22.
