Tennis on TV Next Week: How to watch the Shanghai Masters, China Open and more!
This coming week will see the continuation of three tournaments across Asia, as well as the start of the Shanghai Masters.

How can you watch the Shanghai Masters (ATP 1000)?
The 13th edition of the Shanghai Masters are set to get underway next week, with record four-time champion Novak Djokovic set to make his return to action.

Despite winning more titles than any other player in Shanghai, Djokovic has not competed at the tournament since 2019, but will be looking to return to the Chinese municipality in style as the fourth seed.
However, the 24-time Grand Slam champion will face tough competition from the likes of Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev and the only other former champion in the draw Daniil Medvedev.
Medvedev claimed the Shanghai title five years ago, but has never won the same title twice before.
There is also a strong lineup of wildcards at this year’s tournament, in the form of three-time major winner Stan Wawrinka, former World No.4 Kei Nishikori, Hong Kongese youngster Coleman Wong, and Chinese hopefuls Wu Yibing and Zhou Yi.

How can you watch the China Open (WTA 1000/ATP 500)?
We are now moving into the second week of the China Open, that features both a WTA 1000 and ATP 500 level event.
The WTA tournament is approximately halfway through, with top seeds Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini and Coco Gauff all still remaining.
Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka is also still in the draw, after impressive victories over Lucia Bronzetti and Yulia Putintseva.
One of the stories from the first week in Beijing has come in the form of World No.595 Shuai Zhang, who came into the tournament on a record 24-match losing streak.
Not only has Zhang brought an end to that winless run, but the 35-year-old is now into the fourth round after three consecutive straight set victories, including a second round win over World No.8 Emma Navarro.
The men’s draw is approaching the latter stages, with seven of the eight quarter-finalists confirmed after Andrey Rublev and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina were unable to play more than three games of their match due to rain.
Top seeds Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are still on a collision course to meet in the final, despite the former having his anti-doping appeal case hanging over him.

However, it is definitely not a foregone conclusion with the likes of Daniil Medvedev, the aforementioned Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Jiri Lehecka, Flavio Cobolli and Chinese youngster Yunchaokete Bu all still in the mix.

How can you watch the Japan Open (ATP 500)?
The Japan Open is the other ATP 500 tournament that began last week, which is even further along at the semi-final stages.
Holger Rune is the only seed remaining, bringing an end to his three match losing streak with victories over Alejandro Tabilo, Yoshihito Nishioka and Kei Nishikori.
The Dane will now play Arthur Fils, who knocked out defending champion Ben Shelton in the quarter-finals, as Rune bids for his first title of 2024.
In the other half of the draw Tomas Machac takes on Ugo Humbert, in a first-time meeting between the pair.
