Tennis on TV Next Week: How to watch the China Open and ATP Tokyo!
It is set to be a hugely exciting week on both the ATP and WTA Tours, with big events across Asia at the China Open and Japan Open.
And we, at Tennishead, have the perfect guide for you to get across all the action and watch the likes of Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and many more:
How can you watch the China Open (WTA 1000/ATP 500)?
Beijing will host the WTA and ATP Tours over the next fortnight, featuring two stacked lineups.
Despite the withdrawal of top seed and defending champion Iga Swiatek, the WTA 1000 tournament still features the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini and Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng.
Australian Open and US Open champion Sabalenka currently sits 2,169 points behind rival Swiatek in the WTA rankings, as the Belarusian looks to end the year as World No.1.
It has been a less successful few months for the aforementioned Gauff, with the 20-year-old dropping down to No.6 in the rankings after losing in the fourth round of the US Open to compatriot Emma Navarro.
This led to the American parting ways with coach Brad Gilbert, and the China Open is Gauff’s first tournament without him.

While the WTA tournament is taking place, there will also be a stacked lineup at the ATP 500 event in the Chinese capital.
This features World No.1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner, returning to the tournament that propelled him onto becoming the best player in the world in 2024.
Sinner elected to have a few weeks off after his first US Open triumph, while other top seeds in Beijing including Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev are currently in Berlin for the Laver Cup.
You can watch the China Open on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, or on Tennis Channel in the United States of America. The ATP tournament is also available on Tennis TV worldwide.

How can you watch ATP Tokyo?
While there is one ATP 500 event in the Chinese capital, across the Pacific ocean sits the other in the Japanese capital of Tokyo.
The last two singles champions at tournament have both been American’s, in the forms of Taylor Fritz (2022) and Ben Shelton (2023).
Shelton returns to Tokyo as the eighth seed, but will have to fend off the likes of the aforementioned Fritz, Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jack Draper and other fellow American’s Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe if he is to retain his crown.
The only other former champion returning to Tokyo is former World No.4 Kei Nishikori, who has received a wildcard for his home tournament alongside compatriots Yoshihito Nishioka and Shintaro Mochizuki.
Nishikori will begin his campaign in the Japanese capital against the also returning Marin Cilic, in a rematch of the 2014 US Open final.
