Stefanos Tsitsipas has clear goals in mind after returning to the winners’ circle in Gstaad.
Tsitsipas fell to outside the top 80 in the ATP rankings for the first time since 2018 earlier this year after continued struggles for both form and fitness.
The Greek has responded by making some big changes recently, which includes Tsitsipas parting ways with his father as his coach before Wimbledon.
This change has been rewarded for Tsitsipas, who won the Swiss Open after beating Raphael Collignon in the final and he has now revealed what he hopes to achieve this year.

The Swiss Open is Tsitsipas’ 13th ATP title, but first since he won the Dubai Tennis Championships in February last year.
Tsitsipas spoke to media after winning the Swiss Open, where he was asked about his upcoming goals for the season.

The two-time Grand Slam finalist responded by naming three things that he is hoping to achieve this year, including Tsitsipas hoping to win an even bigger title than the Swiss Open.
“I want to beat at least three top-10 players this year,” said Tsitsipas, as reported by L’Equipe.
“So that’s a goal I’ve set for myself. And to win an ATP 500 tournament. But the first goal would probably be to get back into the top 50. I’d like to see myself at that level again.”
Despite his recent struggles, Tsitsipas has actually already beaten two top 10 players this year with victories over both Taylor Fritz (United Cup) and Alex de Minaur (Miami Open).
Tsitsipas will also have an opportunity to win his second career ATP 500 title when he switches his attention to hard courts at the Washington Open next week, having received a wildcard for the tournament.

Tsitsipas is also closing in on his third goal of returning to the top 50 after winning the Swiss Open.
Before the ATP 250 tournament got underway, Tsitsipas was the world number 85 and some distance away from the top 50.
However, Tsitsipas has now climbed 34 places back up to world number 51 and is just one place away from his goal.

Tsitsipas should also be encouraged by his position in the race to the ATP Finals, where he is currently placed in 37th.
The former world number three will look to continue his resurgence at the aforementioned Washington Open, as Tsitsipas begins his preparations for the US Open.
