Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem take Lyon wildcards
Top 10 stars Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem have taken Lyon wildcards as they make their final preparations ahead of Roland Garros.
Tsitsipas has been one of the top performers on the clay so far this year, winning the Monte-Carlo Masters, reaching the Barcelona final and having good runs in both Madrid and Rome.
The Open Parc Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes Lyon will also welcome Dominic Thiem, who will be keen for a repeat of his 2018 campaign where he beat Gilles Simon in the final.
After a two month layoff, the Austrian made a promising return in Madrid to reach the semi-finals, though was frustrated by Lorenzo Sonego in Rome earlier this week.
Before the announcement that Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem would feature in France, Argentine Diego Schwartzman headlined the event.
The Argentine is still searching for his clay form after opening round defeats in Madrid and Rome.
Also entered in the ATP 250 are World No. 13 David Goffin, home favourite Gael Monfils and NextGen stars Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Dubai champion Aslan Karatsev and Estoril winner Albert Ramos-Vinolas are amongst a highly competitive field in the East of France.
