Stats amazing – Swiatek delivers demolition job
Iga Swiatek delivered a devastating performance to book her place in round four of 2021 Wimbledon.
The 20-year-old lost just one point in serve in the second set as she defeated Irina Begu 6-1, 6-0 in just 55 minutes.
Swiatek is yet to a drop at 2021 Wimbledon Championships. The Pole flew out the starting blocks, racing into a 4-0 lead in 15 minutes playing some brilliant ground-strokes. Begu established herself in the match when holding for 5-1, before Swiatek saved three break points to hold and secure the opening set.

The second set followed a similar pattern as Swiatek converted two break points to increase her growing lead. Swiatek served magnificently throughout, winning 86% of first serve points and saving all three break points faced.
Begu had no answers to a rampant Swiatek who wrapped up the match with a bagel second set. The Pole won the 2020 French Open as a teenager without dropping a single set.
Although Swiatek has previously said that grass is not her strongest surface, this performance will undoubtedly give her huge confidence for the rest of Wimbledon.
The Polish star has reached the round of last 16 or better at half of the Grand Slams she’s played in her young career.
Swiatek will face either Garbine Muguruza or Ons Jabeur in round four.
