Sofia Open: Canadian pairing headline field
The Sofia Open has crowned four different winners since its first edition in 2016, with Canadian pairing Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger Aliassime looking to continue that trend in the last ATP event of the regular season.
The Canadians are the top two seeds for the event, with Shapovalov breaking into the top 10 earlier this year after impressive runs at the US Open and the Italian Open, whilst Auger Aliassime is still chasing his first ATP win after losing in each of his six tour-level finals.
Alex De Minaur and Jan-Lennard Struff will also receive first-round byes as the third and fourth seeds respectively, with 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic and NextGen winner Janik Sinner also in action in the Bulgarian capital.
Where is the tournament held?
The Sofia Open is played indoors at the 12,000-seater Arena Armeec Sofia; Bulgaria’s leading sports and entertainment venue.
