Social Slice: Murray has his say on the GOAT debate; Wawrinka provides injury update

On Social Slice today, Andy Murray has his say on who he believes is the greatest and Stan Wawrinka gives an update on his injury from the hospital bed.

Firstly, Andy Murray believes we are in the best era in tennis history with Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer asserting their dominance.

Despite praising each of the ‘Big Three’, Murray suggests that Djokovic is the greatest by highlighting the sheer magnitude of his accomplishments.

Wawrinka, who withdrew from Wimbledon due to ongoing foot problems, has provided an update from his hospital bed.

“Same place, different day, not where I wanted to be but still a smile on my face,” said the Swiss.

Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam the three-time champion has failed to win.

If you’re interested in your stats, this might be one for you.

Currently, Marin Cilic leads the way with 106 aces in his grass-court swing so far, with Sam Querrey and Felix Auger-Aliassime also firing in plenty of unreturnable serves.

With the likes of John Isner and Kevin Anderson having a lot of success at Wimbledon in 2018, these big servers will be hoping to assert their dominance once again.

We have seen the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev back on the grass-courts this week, but how about this for a practise session…
