US Open Social Slice: Carlos Alcaraz joins elite club; Naomi Osaka stunned


On today’s Social Slice, Carlos Alcaraz joins an elite club after his victory against Stefanos Tsitsipas and Naomi Osaka is stunned after losing in the third round.

Firstly, 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz lit up New York with the biggest win of his career so far against the third seed.

Alcaraz now joins a very impressive club as he becomes the youngest player to reach the US Open fourth round since Michael Chang and Pete Sampras in 1989. Not bad company to be in.

The future is very bright for these two.

Four-time Major winner Osaka cut a very frustrated figure against the Canadian teenager.

The Japanese star took out her frustration on her racket after failing to serve for the match.

If there was a player who was born to entertain, it would be Frances Tiafoe.

The American prevailed in a five-set thriller against Andrey Rublev and celebrated in style in front of his home crowd.
