No, its not actor Rhys Darby from HBOs Flight of the Conchords, who appeared alongside Federer in last years Nike commercials, but 43-year-old Darren Cahill, who has previously worked with Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi and, more recently, Fernando Verdasco.

According to Gototennis.com, Cahill and Federer are currently training in Dubai, with the pair working on a trial basis.

Federers IMG agent, Tony Godsick, has confirmed this: Yes, the two have met in Dubai and played a few balls together. It is a test for both. One cannot yet say whether it will be something long term. They work together now and see how it works out.

Godsick also commented on rumours that Cahill was not the former world No.1s first choice: The two have long had a great respect for each other. It was occasionally discussed. Its a trial. Now that Rogers had a break, anyway, because of his back, the timing was perfect for a test. So Rogers with him and has reported that hes arrived.
