Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic all on official Madrid entry list
Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic are all on the official entry list for the Madrid Masters, the tournament have confirmed.
Although entry lists are very much subject to change, if all three players commit to the event, it will be the first time the big three have all played the same tournament since the 2020 Australian Open 15 months ago.
Reports in Serbia have claimed Djokovic may withdraw, although for the moment he remains part of the ‘official’ list that tournament organisers have circulated.
Roger Federer, meanwhile, will be playing for the first time since Doha, which was his first tournament in 14 months due to a knee injury.
Nadal, who has won the tournament more times than anyone on history, will be the third seed as things stand, with Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev above him.
Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev are also on the list, with Andrey Rublev, Diego Schwartzman, and Matteo Berrettini completing a rare top-ten sweep.

Whether or not withdrawals will follow remains to be seen, of course.
It’s a similarly strong field in the WTA side of the event, with Ashleigh Barty, Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep, and Bianca Andreescu all due to play.
The very noticeable absence is Serena Williams, though, who is likely to delay her trip to Europe for the French Open for as long as she can.
