Mane hailed Nadal after he won the Australian Open before he himself led Senegal to victory at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Now Nadal has returned the love, telling Mane: “I want to congratulate you.
“It’s amazing that you achieved the Africa Cup, I think, for the first time. I am very happy for you.
I wish you all the very best,” Nadal said. “Enjoy this incredible achievement, and I hope one day we will meet. See you soon!”

“I watched [the 2022 Australian Open final]. You were unbelievable.
Nadal is currently scheduled to return to the court at Acapulco on February 21, but he is currently unsure if he will skip it instead to focus on Indian Wells.
“I signed up for Acapulco and Indian Wells, but I have to make a decision that are in accordance with what my body allows me to do,” Nadal said.
“Acapulco is the closer one, I would like to be there but I have to see what are the perspective.”
