Radwanska crashes out in Monterrey

World number 53 Li, 27, blasted a pair of aces and overcame committing three double faults en route to breaking Radwanska’s serve on six occasions – including three times in the decisive third set – to wrap up the win in just over two hours.
World number 10 Radwanska was searching for her first title of the year, but the 19-year-old won just 33% (11-of-33) of second serve points to drop her 2009 record to 4-5.
Urszula Radwanska was also handed an early exit after losing 6-3 6-3 to Zheng Jie of China.
Seventh seeded Argentinean Gisela Dulko, 24, recorded a 6-4 7-5 victory over Frenchwoman Nathalie Dechy after winning 86% (25-of-29) of first serve points.
After losing in the first rounds in Sydney, Melbourne and Dubai, eighth seeded Russian Maria Kirilenko picked up her first win of the year after cruising to a 6-4 6-3 triumph over Marina Erakovic of New Zealand in one hour and 45 minutes.
World number 38 Kirilenko will now face Czech Lucie Safarova, who defeated Mexican wildcard Melissa Torres Sandoval 6-4 6-1 in 55 minutes.
