Emma Raducanu adds Porsche to growing list of prestigious brand partnerships

Emma Raducanu has become a brand ambassador for renowned car manufacturer Porsche as she extends her ever-growing roster of prestigious brand partnerships.

19-year-old British starlet Raducanu’s shock US Open win has not only afforded her a plethora of on-court opportunities and a full season on the WTA Tour, but she has also been rewarded with multiple sponsorships with numerous globally-recognised brands.

The women’s World number 13 signed a $4 million (£3 million) deal with Vodafone last month, adding to existing sponsorships with Nike, Dior, British Airways, Evian and Tiffany’s and Co.

The young Brit has started the new season in rather inconsistent fashion having been hampered by numerous injuries at the Australian Open and the Mexican Swing.

However, speaking after her Indian Wells Masters defeat to Petra Martic, Raducanu said she felt the expectations placed upon her were too high and she is satisfied with her progression.

She will return to action at this week’s Miami Open where she could face idol Simona Halep.

In a news article published to Porsche’s website, Raducanu said “for me to be a brand ambassador for Porsche means a lot. Porsche is one of the brands I’ve always loved from a young age.

“One of my first tennis coaches drove a 911. Whenever I would turn up to practice in the morning, I would see his Porsche, I would go ‘wow’ and be dreaming of one day sitting in my own.

“Growing up, I would go to Brands Hatch and watch the Porsche Carrera Cup finals. The adrenalin I would get from motorsports and seeing the Porsches was actually the most fun part of my week.

“It’s really important for me to align with partners and brands that I really feel passionate about and that I identify with. I think this partnership with Porsche is incredible and obviously I’m really excited to see what sort of exciting things we can do going forwards.”

Raducanu will make her debut at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart next month, which are set to take place from April 18th to April 22nd.
