Hard sell: HEAD says it has upgraded its classic Prestige frame by incorporating HEAD MicroGel technology – a revolutionary new silicone-based material, which the manufacturer has combined with stiff and strong carbon composite fibres to create a racket with ‘incredible responsive qualities’. It works by distributing the ‘impact load’ around the frame when the ball hits the strings which achieves the best ‘rock-solid feel and superior touch ever achieved in the game.’
Tennishead says: The old HEAD Prestige was a quality racket and this is no different. Ample power but great feel off the strings and enough manouvrability to feel like you’re controlling the racket – not the other way around. Its relatively large racket face (103 sq in) also helps out when you’re at the net, making it easier to get the strings behind the ball on volleys.
