Novak Djokovic is a man unafraid of breaking records.

In fact, most of the greatest all-time accolades belong to this supreme 39-year-old, who has shown incredible longevity and quality across over two decades now.

And, what is arguably even more impressive than his many, many records is the fact that he remains so relevant and dangerous even now at his age.

Earlier tonight, he exhibited this perfectly as he secured his spot in the Roland Garros third round with minimal fuss.

In doing so, he actually captured a new record as well.

Novak Djokovic’s new record after beating Valentin Royer at Roland Garros

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were the greatest rivals of Novak Djokovic’s career, and to have seen them both retire must have been tough.

After all, whilst their many battles were fought with incredible competitiveness and ferocity, off the court there was so much respect between them.

It’s a testament to how impressive these three were that their records remain so seemingly unbeatable, with only the Serbian left to potentially grab more.

Ironically, it is Federer who has just seen one of his all-time records equalled by Djokovic, who today reached his 21st Roland Garros third round.

That is the most Rounds of 32 in a single major event, tying the Swiss superstar, who did the same at the Australian Open.

If Djokovic sticks around for another year and matches this feat, he will stand alone with this accolade.

Jannik Sinner is a threat to the entire Big Three’s records

Whilst Djokovic, Federer and Nadal have all amassed so many seemingly unbeatable all-time records, seeing what Jannik Sinner is doing might have them worried.

After all, his dominance this year has been frightening, winning all five Masters 1000 events on offer and currently enjoying a 30-match win streak across all tournaments.

Do you think Jannik Sinner could really win all 9 Masters 1000 events in 2026?

This form has made him an overwhelming favourite to win the title at Roland Garros, made much easier due to Carlos Alcaraz’s absence due to injury.

Given the fact that Sinner recently broke an iconic all-time Djokovic achievement in Rome, this will likely not be the last record that falls at the hands of the current world number one.
