The unseeded pair lost 6-3 6-2 to the Czech duo of Leos Friedl and David Skoch on Court Eight at Roland Garros.

Murray, 23, also lost in round one of the men’s doubles at the Australian Open earlier this year, although his partner then was American Eric Butorac.

Fellow Briton Ross Hutchins also crashed out in the first round in Paris, partnering Australian Stephen Huss in a 6-4 6-2 defeat to Fernando Gonzalez and Jose Acasuso on Wednesday.
