Murray hopes high for US Open

Up to this point, it has been the finest year of the 21-year-old Scot’s burgeoning career. But Murray hopes there is even better to come, particularly with the US Open, his favourite grand slam, starting on Monday.

“I think it’s time for me to go a little bit further,” he said. “I have the potential to do that, but you try not to look so far ahead, go one match at a time, just see what happens because once you get into the second week (of the tournament) anything can happen.”
