Murray, who defeated world No.1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets to end Britain’s 77-year wait for a men’s singles champion at Wimbledon has donated his outfit to the All England Club.
Murray’s adidas Climalite shirt, Aircast ankle braces, adidas Climalite tailored shorts and adidas adipower shoes, all autographed, will be on display.
Also featured in the 2013 Championships showcase will be ladies’ champion Marion Bartoli’s Lotto dress and the dress worn by runner-up Sabine Lisicki.
“We are thrilled to share this unique piece of British tennis history, thanks to Murray’s wonderful donation,” Ashley Jones, Commercial Manager of the museum, said.
“The display doesn’t fail to conjure up emotions, taking you back to the celebrated moment history was made – we’re delighted we can extend this stirring experience to visitors the world over. It is truly a winning display!”
