After the 2025 season, British tennis is in an incredibly strong place on both the men’s and women’s draws.

10 British players currently occupy a place in the top 200, with Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie currently inside the top 30.

Emma Raducanu, meanwhile, is expected to have a strong 2026 after a solid first few months under new coach Francisco Roig.

The next generation of the sport looks strong too as Great Britain currently boasts the highest-ranked 16-year-old on the WTA Tour: Mika Stojsavljevic.

Mika Stojsavljevic is the highest-ranked 16-year-old on the WTA Tour

British teenager Stojsavljevic is ending the season in sensational style at a W100 event in Dubai, where she has reached the semi-final.

The star has defeated Polina Latcenko, Sinja Kraus, and Valentin Ryser to reach the semi-final of the tournament.

The run has helped her crack the top 300 for the first time in her career, which has helped her become the highest-ranked 16-year-old in tennis.

Sitting at world number 298 in the rankings, it’s a remarkable achievement for the hotly-tipped British teenager.

Stojsavlijevic will play two-time Grand Slam finalist Vera Zvonareva, who returned to tennis at the age of 41-years-old.

Mika Stojsavljevic’s incredible career so far

Stojsavljevic has been widely regarded by the LTA for long time before she became the highest-ranked player of her age.

The British star won the US Open juniors title in 2024, beating fellow exciting teenagers Iva Jovic and Emerson Jones.

Stojsavljevic has already lifted two ITF titles in her short career, winning tournaments in Nottingham in 2024 and Birmingham in 2025.

She also made her Wimbledon debut in 2025, after being given a wild card by her home Grand Slam. She lost to Ashlyn Krueger in the first round.
