The two-time Wimbledon champion joins Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova and Garbine Muguruza at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global on October 25.
By her own lofty standards, 2015 has been a difficult year for Kvitova, who revealed in the summer that she has been battling glandular fever. But despite a first-round defeat to Sara Errani at the China Open in Beijing last week, the Czech will be on the plane to Singapore.
"I am so excited to qualify for the WTA Finals for the fifth straight year," said Kvitova, who won the title on her debut in Istanbul in 2011. "I've been through some tough moments this season so I'm extra proud of myself for qualifying again and making it back to Singapore.
“Playing as one of the Top 8 is a big goal for me each year so I can't wait to be back there, fighting hard and hopefully playing some great tennis in front of the Singaporean fans."
There are nine players still in the hunt for the last four spots at the eight-player season finale, including 35-year-old Venus Williams and 18-year-old Belinda Bencic.
US Open champion Flavia Pennetta’s hopes of qualifying were dented by a shock first-round defeat to world No.414 Lyudmyla Kichenok in Tianjin this week.
Currently sitting in the final qualification spot, Pennetta is not scheduled to play in Luxembourg or Moscow next week, and will rely on other results going her way if she is to be play what could be her last professional match in Singapore.
