Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are expected to continue their dominance over the rest of the ATP Tour in 2026.
The incredible rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz has helped the two men become far and away the best two players in the world.
The pair are currently over 6000 ATP points away from the world number three Alexander Zverev in the rankings.
The next challenger for the two men is yet to be determined and John Lloyd believes that could be a problem next season.

John Lloyd believes Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s dominance is concerning
One of Alcaraz and Sinner has won the Grand Slams for the past two seasons, with Novak Djokovic’s 2023 US Open win the last time a different player won a major tournament.
Lloyd believes the pair’s dominance is a huge concern for Grand Slams, especially if one of them exits the tournament early.
In an interview with the Inside-In Tennis podcast, John Lloyd said: “I am a little bit concerned about next year.
Who do you think will win more Grand Slam titles in 2026?
“You always think that someone is going to come through and challenge but at the moment I look at Slams, because that is the bread and butter of our sport, and I look at it and think if one of them at one of the majors, which will happen at one stage, gets injured or gets a day where someone plays lights out.
“You are going to have such a weak half of the draw in terms of names. You almost feel like you might as well give it to the other one right away. At the Slams you want it to be competitive all the way through but these two have just separated themselves. It’s amazing to watch how great they are.”
Sinner and Alcaraz met in three of the four Grand Slam finals in 2025, at the US Open, Wimbledon, and Roland Garros.
Sinner won the Australian Open at the beginning of the year by defeating Zverev in straight sets in the final.
