Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz’s incredible rivalry has been the backbone of the ATP Tour for the past two seasons.
Alcaraz and Sinner are easily the best players on the ATP Tour, with the two men sharing the past eight Grand Slams.
The two men have met six times on the ATP Tour, with Alcaraz coming out on top against his Italian rival on four of their six meetings.
Sinner has shared the attributes of Alcaraz’s games which he struggles to deal with when he plays him.

Jannik Sinner is frank about Carlos Alcaraz’s talents
Sinner and Alcaraz are friends away from the court and they often heap praise on each other in interviews.
The Italian has continued the niceties by sharing the biggest challenges he faces when he plays the Spaniard.
Speaking to Tennis Korea, “First of all, he has virtually no weaknesses. He’s one of the best players on tour right now, perhaps even the best. Playing against him is always a challenge, but it’s also a lot of fun.
Who do you think will win more Grand Slam titles in 2026?
“Every game has a completely different story and flow, which makes it even more exciting. He’s also incredibly fast, so it’s difficult to break through him anywhere on the court.
“He’s also incredibly mentally strong, playing every point as if it were the last. These are the biggest challenges facing him.”
Sinner and Alcaraz have met 16 times since 2021, with the Spaniard currently leading the head-to-head with 10 victories.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz’s next match is already set
Tennis might be in its off-season, but Alcaraz and Sinner have already confirmed another meeting ahead of the Australian Open.
The pair will play an exhibition match at the Hyundai Card Super Match in Incheon, South Korea on 10 January.
The event will take place just eight days before the start of the Australian Open, where Sinner is looking to retain his title and Alcaraz can earn his Career Grand Slam.
Their meeting in South Korea will be their second exhibition meeting in a matter of months, after their match at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia in November.
