Jannik Sinner has been in superb form since losing the US Open final to Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner won the Paris Masters and the Vienna Open since the Grand Slam loss, with his only defeat coming via retirement at the Shanghai Masters.
The star arrives at the ATP Finals with a genuine chance of surpassing Alcaraz as the year-end world number one.
Ahead of his title defence in Turin, Sinner’s team have revealed exactly what they’ve changed since the US Open.

Jannik Sinner’s coach details the improvements they’ve made
Speaking via Ubitennis, Sinner’s coach Simone Vagnozzi has described how they’ve changed his serve, and what they’ve implemented into the Italian’s game.
He revealed: “We always try to add something new to his game: today he understands the game better than last year.
“His serve since the US Open is more precise and effective, he manages to land more kicks, to go to the body better.
“He goes to the net more often; in short, there are small details that have been improving over the last two years.
“When Jannik is 27/28, he will be an all-around player. I don’t know if we’ll be there with him when he’s 27/28, but we’re trying to do our best!”
Sinner heads into the ATP Finals with a 17-1 record since the US Open, winning three tournaments from the four he’s played.
Jannik Sinner’s record against ATP Finals group
Sinner has been placed in a group with Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Alexander Zverev at the ATP Finals.
Unsurprisingly, Sinner has an excellent record against all three men.
The star has won his last four matches against Zverev, including during his successful runs in Paris and Vienna, although he only leads the head-to-head narrowly with five wins from their nine matches.
The Italian has beaten Auger-Aliassime in each of their last three matches, which have all come in the second half of this season.
Sinner knocked Auger-Aliassime out of Cincinnati, the US Open, and the Paris Masters, with the Canadian’s last victory against the the star coming in 2022.
The Wimbledon winner has dominated Shelton in their eight matches, winning the last seven dating back to the Vienna Open in 2023.
Shelton’s sole win against Sinner came at the Shanghai Masters in 2023.
